WHAT is TIMMS*?

*Teacher's Instructional Management and Mapping System - TIMMS™

TIMMS is designed as a fully integrated, curriculum management system which operates on your existing or soon to be installed local and wide area networks. It makes the teacher’s job easier and more connected to current standards, resources, assessments, and provides better information on how students are doing. It operates on PCs or Apple Macs connected with Ethernet and Windows NT networks. TIMMS can be implemented as a wholly integrated curriculum management system or it can be installed in phases or modules. It can be installed at a district curriculum office for initial setup, testing and training, or it can be set up at a pilot school to get immediate functional results for assessment and reporting. It brings curriculum management, assessment, and reporting to the teacher's desktop. (See TIMMS design specifications for information on modules and functions.)

Parents and students can review lesson plans and resources to set up individual learning agreements.
Teach at home parents can have a teacher identification login to assign lessons and review resources as well as enter their own private resources and tasks aligned to district standards.
Curriculum reports can be used to easily review, develop, or edit all curriculum elements.

Electronic Grade Book

Record Demonstrations of Proficiency and Assessment

Performance based assessments are linked to qualitative and quantitative standards for demonstration of student work. This can be reviewed by the student with each assignment.
All available student information can be reviewed by the parent, teacher, and student during conferences from the teachers desktop, accurately and consistently.

AMS - Assessment Management System

Assessment Management System can be provided as an option. This provides test items and test preparation linked to curriculum plans.
