Thank you for the opportunity to allow me to introduce
SYNECTICS, Ltd.
to you.![]()
This letter provides you with an overview of our work philosophy and a history of presentations for SYNECTICS, Ltd., which was founded in 1990 after I left a major telecommunications company with over 20 years in technical, management, marketing, and strategic planning roles. These included responsibilities for major systems support, design, marketing, and product management. I endeavor to bring the cumulative results of this experience and expertise together in SYNECTICS, Ltd. by working as a systems design and integration company in association with my staff, key associates and the client. Together, we provide strategic consulting, project management, business technology evaluations, migration and conversion planning, and system design and construction.
By using this collaborative approach SYNECTICS, LTD. often utilizes a modified Rapid Application Development (RAD) technique for development projects. This establishes the following process steps:
This technique has successfully allowed us to design and deliver products and projects on a client acceptable schedule with flexibility and within budget.
SYNECTICS, Ltd. provides a development environment for the deployment of systems applications in the ever-changing environment of emerging technologies. We have found that established expertise in a single tool is not enough. Our goals are to learn while doing and to provide an on-going development and support role within a sound architecture or design by using the latest tools or technology. This also allows us to keep up with changes and upgrades as they occur and not get trapped in an obsolete design. We are willing to utilize new hardware and software to achieve our clients' needs while maintaining expertise and experience in proven tools. We test and learn new techniques constantly in order to stay current with developing systems and technology.
For Network design and support, we have worked in the telecommunications industry on virtually every switch, operational support system and network product, including satellite links. For data, we design for efficient router and server utilization, and as communication links are required, for the interface of LANs, WANs, and other protocol systems to the telecommunications infrastructure, including IP networks. Our work on the convergence of voice and data networks has been utilized extensively as the Telecom, data, TV/cable, and Internet networks have converged. Hardware systems and networks are designed and developed to integrate with the suppliers' and users' abilities and resources to insure availability and compatibility with industry standards. We specialize in the Emergence of applications that utilize state of the industry technology.
For the software part of our work, we use current generation development tools for rapid development such as: Asymetrix Toolbook; Microsoft Office, Back Office, Visual Basic and other CASE tools; and are open to development on customer-defined platforms such as IBM's RS6000 and DB2 and UNIX. We also work with Novell and Windows NT based Ethernet networks. Our success in design and delivery is evidence of our ability to use the most advanced tool sets available to achieve the desired results.
As a virtual corporation, we utilize skilled co-consultants for just-in-time delivery. This allows minimum fixed cost and maximum response to special needs. For example, in our educational projects, we have advisors with doctorates in education and in our medical projects, we have working physicians and their staffs for support. If necessary, we will provide management consultants for strategic planning, transition management, facilitation, and training. Add to this the expert developers we have used to write special drivers, down to C language levels, and we believe we have a tested and working approach to meeting customer product development needs. For each project, we have access to other systems experts for unique needs.
Finally, because we use Microsoft Back Office Solutions, SYNECTICS, Ltd. has an assured inside track at Microsoft to the newest products, expert support, and a potential showcase for you to display and market the final solution. In addition, we also provide consulting services for telecommunications and computing technologies, training in multimedia and emerging technologies, and demonstration and prototype support.
We are looking forward to working with you. Please call me or email me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
President
