Distance Education Systems
There are three components to these systems:
1. Technology - this is definable and is always changing
2. Methodology - how to use the tools to do the job
3. Pedagogy - Content or what we are trying to teach/learn.
We at SYNECTICS, Ltd. are involved in the integration of these components to achieve a sustainable result. This requires a resource analysis and specification as to time frame, level of ability to operate, location, costs to access, and accountability or results tracking. Most designs don't consider all these factors and I am sure there are more. This is why funding is needed: to research, create, and document so these techniques and tools can be developed with sound design principles for adaptability and sustainability. When combined with our TIMMS Curriculum Management System. software to align curriculum with assessment of performance and accountability of results, our design for distance education provides a collaborative work environment that is unmatched.
